How to Install the Aptos MAC-800 Microinverter: Quick Step-by-Step Overview

Step 1: Mounting & Securing

1. Flange Flat on the Rail:
   • Rest the built-in mounting flange flat directly onto the racking rail.
   • Ensure the silver cover faces upward toward the PV module.
2. Seat Both Fasteners:
   • Position both rail fasteners into the flange slots.
   • Tighten both fasteners down securely to the manufacturer’s approved torque specification.

Step 2: Electrical Connections

1. AC Trunk Connection:
   • Ensure AC is isolated and PV modules are shaded or isolated prior to wiring.
   • Connect the AC trunk cable securely to the microinverter’s AC connector.
2. One Module per Input (DC Connections):
   • Connect your solar panels to the dual inputs (Module A and Module B).
   • Fully latch and seat both compatible DC connectors.

Step 3: Commissioning & Verification

1. Commission the System:
   • Complete system commissioning per manual procedures.
2. Confirm DTU Reporting:
   • Inspect, commission, and verify connectivity with the Data Transfer Unit (DTU).
   • Confirm device reporting status in the portal/app and review any alarms or fault indicators.
