How to Install the Aptos MAC-800 Microinverter: Quick Step-by-Step Overview

Step 1: Mounting & Securing
- Flange Flat on the Rail:
- Rest the built-in mounting flange flat directly onto the racking rail.
- Ensure the silver cover faces upward toward the PV module.
- Seat Both Fasteners:
- Position both rail fasteners into the flange slots.
- Tighten both fasteners down securely to the manufacturer’s approved torque specification.
Step 2: Electrical Connections
- AC Trunk Connection:
- Ensure AC is isolated and PV modules are shaded or isolated prior to wiring.
- Connect the AC trunk cable securely to the microinverter’s AC connector.
- One Module per Input (DC Connections):
- Connect your solar panels to the dual inputs (Module A and Module B).
- Fully latch and seat both compatible DC connectors.
Step 3: Commissioning & Verification
- Commission the System:
- Complete system commissioning per manual procedures.
- Confirm DTU Reporting:
- Inspect, commission, and verify connectivity with the Data Transfer Unit (DTU).
- Confirm device reporting status in the portal/app and review any alarms or fault indicators.
