On November, 25 2022 Aptos Solar Technology and Greentech Renewables volunteers traveled to Nepal to benefit a local community with our partners at GivePower. Nepal is a country rich in natural resources, with most of its population relying on agriculture for their livelihood. However, despite the abundance of resources, a significant portion of the population still faces difficulties in accessing necessities, such as food. One of the biggest challenges faced by the Nepalese agricultural sector is the lack of modern technology, particularly in the processing of grains.
Traditionally, grains in Nepal are ground using manual labor, which is time-consuming, physically demanding, and often results in inconsistent grain sizes and quality. This has a significant impact on the overall quality and profitability of Nepalese agriculture. To address these challenges, Givepower selected the village, Basharka Nayabasti, that recently needed to be moved and rebuilt due to landslides as the perfect place to install a solar-powered mechanical grinding mill.
With the help of GivePower’s incredible team, Aptos constructed the solar-powered 2.8 kVA solar-powered mechanical grinding mill. Without this project, the people of the village would travel two hours to the nearest mill.
In partnership with GivePower, we are providing solar-based solutions that power life’s basic needs. For each solar panel that is sold, we donate a portion of our profits to GivePower that support projects like these. When you partner with us, you’re helping our mission to bring clean energy solutions to those that need them most.
